IV therapy, explained without the hype
Who actually benefits from a drip, what's in one, and how often is reasonable.

What a drip actually does
IV fluids deliver hydration, electrolytes, vitamins, and antioxidants straight into the bloodstream, bypassing digestion. That matters most when absorption is the bottleneck — illness, travel, hangovers, heavy training, or gut issues.
It is not a substitute for sleep, food, or treating an underlying condition.
Common formulas
Hydration and electrolyte blends for recovery. B-complex and amino blends for energy support. High-dose vitamin C and glutathione for immune and antioxidant support.
Every formula is reviewed by a provider against your history and medications before it's hung.
How often
Situational use — before travel, during illness, after a hard training block — is common. Ongoing wellness clients typically come every two to four weeks.
If you feel like you need one weekly to function, that's a signal to look at labs and sleep rather than add drips.
